Frequently asked questions

Registration & Bidding

For each object, we aim to describe all the relevant elements in as much detail as possible. In addition, there are always a lot of pictures available for each item. Still miss something? Contact our support: info@fabeo.se

If you or someone else bids when an auction has less than three minutes left, the auction is automatically extended by another three minutes. The extension is made so as not to exclude other bidders and to give other bidders a chance to counter-bid. Such an extension is well established in online auctions. It can be compared to the first-second-third principle of traditional auctions.

Choosing Autobid means that the system will bid for you. You enter a maximum bid for the selected item, then our system will make automatic bids for you according to the bidding steps up to the maximum bid – of course only if necessary. The maximum bid is always hidden during the auction. If you choose manual bidding, you need to be active if someone bids above you.

NOTE! An autobid that is at the same level as a later manually placed bid will lead the auction as this was placed first.

Object Display & Duty to Examine

For each auction there is an auction fee. The amount of this is shown specifically for each auction that you see when you are logged in as a bidder.

In some cases, Fabeo will exhibit items at a designated location during auctions, i.e. Yard Sale. This will be announced on each auction item. Items sold via online auction will not be offered for viewing. It is therefore important that you read all the item information, the item description and look carefully at the pictures available. If the item does not match the auction item when you pick it up, you have the right to enforce your duty to examine.

NOTE! In that case the item may not be transported or driven from the pick-up location!

As a buyer, you have both a right and an obligation to check the condition of an item as described in the auction documents when you collect it. Remember not to take the item from the site if something does not match the description of the item. The duty to examine is a guarantee for you as a buyer.

Pricing & Invoice payment

We have a very wide variety of selling customers. They can be farmers, contractors, haulage companies, large construction companies, municipalities and rental companies.

Each machine is always handled in the same way by our auction managers.

Yes, VAT is added to all our auction items. This is shown for all items when you are a logged-in buyer on www.fabeoauctions.com

A reservation price is the lowest price the seller accepts in advance. For each auction you can see whether the reservationprice has been reached or not. If a reservation price is not reached at the end of an auction, the highest bidder will be contacted by an auction manager at Fabeo, our aim is to sell all items and that both buyer and seller are satisfied with the deal.

All bids on www.fabeoauctions.com are binding, even if the reserve price is not reached.

Invoices from Fabeo are always inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated, and the full amount must be paid. If you have an account registered to a foreign company, with a valid VAT number, you can get the VAT refunded by Fabeo. In this case, we require valid export documents to be sent to us at ekonomi@fabeo.se within 10 days of collection of the item.

The documents we need are:

  1. A signed CMR document or consignment note
  2. The invoice from the transport company
  3. IBAN and Swift number of the buyer (your company)

When an auction is over, if the reservation price is reached, and you have the highest bid, you will receive an invoice by e-mail, in most cases the same day the auction is closed.

If the invoice has not arrived – Check your spam first. If you don’t find it there either, please contact us via our finance department at ekonomi@fabeo.se . Once Fabeo has received your payment, you will receive a payment confirmation to your e-mail within 1-3 business days. Together with the confirmation you will also receive the seller’s contact details.

You have to contact the seller regarding the time of collection.

Collection of items & Shipping

The municipality where the item is located is listed in each auction document and your payment confirmation contains the contact details of the seller. As a buyer, you have 14 days to collect the item after the auction has ended. If you need help with the shipping of your item, please fill out the form under Shipping Request here.

Fabeo cooperates with two reputable shipping companies, if you want help with shipping, please fill in the form under Shipping request here.

If you use a carrier yourself, it is important to remember that the obligation to investigate still applies before you pick up your item.

In case of complaint

Fabeoauctions.com is a site only for companies and in order to sell or to place bids on items we need a valid VAT number.

As a buyer, you have both the right and the obligation to check the condition of your item against the auction documents. If the item does not correspond to the description in the auction document, you can complain about the purchase.
